Week 33 - Clothing

My wardrobe is full and yet I can't find anything to wear!  My laundry/ironing pile is huge and yet I can't find anything to wear!  I have decided that I have far too many clothes and therefore I am doing a massive clearout.  Time to ditch those things that are frumpy and never see the light of day.  Thrift shop here I come!

Week 32 - Daily Routine

I don't have much of a daily routine in my life as I work in different places every day of the week however my one staple on weekdays is my morning cup of coffee that hubby brings to my beside before he heads off out to get the bus.  It isn't the caffeine that makes this a welcome cuppa, because I drink decaf, but the fact that he brings it to me with a kiss.  Thank you Scott xxxxx

Week 31 - Memories

My 30th school reunion is coming up in September and so I have been trawling through some old school photos to put up in our Facebook Group.  It is amazing what memories these bring back - both good and bad.  Once I had posted them on my own page, a whole load more memories were released with comments from other people. "Do you remember when . . . ?"  I even discovered that a friend I have now was in my Primary 2/1 composite class in 1970 but neither of us realised until the photo was posted!  Names came flooding back that I hadn't uttered in years!

I know there are a few people who don't want to remember their school days but for me they hold a lot of happy memories and they are all wrapped up in these photos  . . . oh, and the strict uniform we had to wear including the little beret that now sits in my dining room on top of Tigger's head!

I'll report back after the Reunion on 8 September and let you know how it went.

Week 30 - River

After the torrents that have flooded through the Scottish streams and rivers over the past few weeks it was lovely to see this calm picture of the Esk trickling under the Lasswade Bridge.  Here's hoping the weather keeps improving for a couple of weeks at least!

Week 29 - Craft

Meet Fairy Rosie, a wee felt craft fairy doll.  Some of you may think she looks familiar.  If you have been following my involvement as a photographer with Rosie's story at  http://www.nakedinspirations.co.uk/  then you'll see the similarity in the pink dress, tiara and wand!  The little felt fairy was a bespoke order from Jo Porstmouth of Pipers Cuddles  http://www.facebook.com/PipersCuddles   for me to give to Rosie now she has been given the all clear to remind her that Fairy Wishes can come true. Jo was fantastic and was able to produce exactly what I asked for from a description of what I wanted and a photo of the real Rosie.  Thanks so much Jo for being so good at your craft.

Week 28 - Photography

I could go on and on and on about this subject!  It's not a hobby, it's not work, it is a passion and sometimes an obsession.  

This week I travelled to Cumbria in the North of England to visit Aspire www.aspirephotographytraining.co.uk for an Open Day and I am inspired to go back to do a 4-day course with them hopefully later this year.  Not only do you learn a lot from them but also from networking with other photographers.  (Funny how aspiration and inspiration came into my language together yet again! www.nakedinspirations.co.uk)

Week 27 - Sorrow

3rd July was the 18th anniversary of my dad's death and still the tears flow.  Nothing ever stops the sorrow you feel in such a situation, you just learn to deal with it a little better with time.  RIP Dad.
