Hi there, I’m Dot.
Born and bred, and lived most of my life in and around Edinburgh,
Scotland.
Photography has always been part of my life as I have early memories of my dad making a record of family holidays and events at every opportunity with both his stills and cine camera. By the age of 10 I had my very own Kodak 110 and immediately put it to good use whenever pocket-money would allow the cost of developing!

And
so the journey began. . . progressing through a number of different cameras over the years.
Jumping forward to 2009, I invested in my first DSLR, decided to take a Diploma with the Photography Institute to update my knowledge and then went on to launch my own photography business in September 2010.

Project 52 is designed to make Sammee and me get out there, interpret a theme in our own way and then share our end product with you via this blog.
I hope you see things you enjoy over the coming year and that it might even inspire some of you to try something similar.
Cheers,
